ETNA SURVIVING PARK
Etna Excursion, after many years of activity
in the field of excursion tourism like off-road, quad, mtb,
trekking,
etc and collaborating with many tour operators in the "mice" field, presents a
new way of make adventurous tourism: the ETNA SURVIVING PARK. This park,
situated near the wine industry Gambino, is divided into six courses
caracterized by increasing difficulty, it is provided with equipped areas and
safe ateliers, among these a course is dedicated, particularly, to children and
young boys that attending schools. The visitors together with the instructors
can spend an interesting day linking together the off-road with the sightseeing
of the Etna territories, caracterized by woods and lavic flows, and last but not
least they can have the opportunity of tasting several kinds of wine produced by
the wine industry.
Nowdays, sedentary life and virtual reality threaten to compromise attitudes,
motory skills and psycological adaptations, the survival aims at preserving them
with a "virtuality of the reality". The Surviving is the ecosporting and
amusing aspect of the Survival, it is based on games and safe test of simulation,
useful for the participants as regards the psychophysical aspect and very
interesting because thanks to these activities you can have the opportunity of
observing and analysing the behaviours that develop.
The Surviving does not encourage the competition, but it aims at
developing both the individual and group preservation and a correct relation
between man and environment.
The
structures and the implements that will be used in the different courses of the
outdoor activities can be:
- Thai footbridge (4 ropes fastened);
- Tibetan footbridge (3 ropes fastened);
- Tyrolese footbridege (2 ropes fastened);
- Sailor-passage (a single horizontal rope);
- Vertical pole;
- Horizontal pole;
-Vertical knot rope;
- Floating podalic stirrups;
- Floating hanging trunks;
- Hanging trapeze;
- Vertical ratlines (net with 20cm mesh);
- Diagonal ratlines (net with 15 cm mesh);
- Net footbridge (net with 15-20 cm mesh);
- Spela rung-rope-ladder;
- Diagonal rung-rope-ladder;
- Rung-ladder: rigid horizontal and floating;
- Liana;
- Zip line (liana with simple pulley on inclined rope);
- Manual aerial ropeway on inclined rope;
- Slipway of disengage (from 4 to 8 metres height);
- Orientation and arboreal labyrinth ( with metallic net and local vegetation);
- Area for archery, for javelin throwing, for boomerang and for blowpipe;
- Simulated hunting for tridimensional targets with the arms above described
(wild animals made of synthetic foam and rubber or pictures);
- Mountain bike;
- Treclimbing ( safe arboreal climbing with natural grasps);
- Boulder (climbing up natural rock max. 3-4 metres height);
- Eco agorà on open ground (grill and pic-nic point with hearth, stone oven and
cooking area, tables and benches );
- Area amphitheatre, stages, meetings, lessons and relax (in an area terraced
precedently).
Thanks to its geographical position the Etna Surviving Park is easy to reach, in
fact it is situated in the town of Linguaglossa (North Etna versant), at 1000
metres above sea level, near the beach of Taormina, at a distance of about 15 Km
from the Messina-Catania highway and 15 km from the volcano Etna.
